FLOYCE GATHRIGHT SCHEETT
Floyce Gathright Scheett, 82, of El Dorado, AR passed away
Wednesday, June 21, 2022, at the John R. Williamson Hospice
House in El Dorado, AR
Floyce was born December 17, 1939 in Strong, AR to the union of Daucy Gathright and Betsy
Phillips Gathright.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Pete Scheett, grandson,
Marcus Lum, three brothers,
Cecil, James, and Doyle, and one sister, Lois.
Floyce was the former treasurer for the Holy Redeemer Catholic
School and served on the PTA.
She worked for M.M Cohn and did inventory for Gibson’s. Floyce loved to draw lighthouses, work in her garden, and bake.
Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Dopson and husband Jackie of El Dorado, Carol
Scheett and partner Debbie
Bagshaw of Stamps, one sister, Reba Manning of Downsville, LA, one brother, J. D. Gathright of Oark, AR, three grandchildren, Amanda Lum of Parkers Chapel, Joe Dopson and wife Kerrie of El Dorado, Tiffani Bagshaw of Stamps, four great grandchildren, Summer Mathis and fiancé, Riley Crowe, Wynter Mathis, Hunter Mathis, and Korbin Dopson, one great great granddaughter, Briar Crowe.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Barry Dobson officiating. Interment will be in the Harper Springs Cemetery in Huttig under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Lifetouch Hospice.
