DANIEL GRADY VICKERS
Daniel Grady Vickers, age 87 of Hermitage, AR passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family and was welcomed to his heavenly home by the arms of
Jesus. He was born February
22, 1935 in Bradley County,
AR to the late Henry Grady
Vickers and Virginia Sharp. He served his country by enlisting in the Army and was a member of Eagle Lake Crossroads
Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son; Terry Vickers; brothers;
Herman Vickers and George
Vickers and sisters; Florence
Gorman, Christine Morgan,
Margie DuBose and Doris
Glasgow.
Survivors include his wife; Joyce Outlaw Vickers of Hermitage, AR whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage on May 31, 2022. Children; Tana Vickers of El Dorado, AR, Michael Vickers and spouse Mary of Benton, AR, Donna Talley of Hermitage, AR, Clay Vickers of Hermitage, AR and Pam Hays and spouse Mike of El Dorado, AR. Brothers; Frank Vickers and spouse Mary of Dumas, AR and Bobby Vickers and spouse Sue of Crossett, AR. He was Papaw to eighteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren who each considered him their hero and cherished many memories of “going across the river”, hunting, fishing, bear hugs, whisker kisses, and storytelling.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren, AR. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. until service time Friday, June 24, 2022. All arrangements are by Frazer’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LifeTouch Hospice in El Dorado, AR or Union Hill Cemetery in Hermitage AR.
