“Ash vs. Evil Dead” – Complete Series

Can you say “Necronomicon”? On second thought, maybe don’t. It’s best to let sleeping zombies lie… unless you’ve got a chainsaw on hand. All three seasons of “Ash vs. Evil Dead” will be available to stream on Hulu as of Sunday, Oct. 1. Having aired from 2015 2018, this series brought the “Evil Dead” franchise from big screen to small, expanding on the apocalyptic adventures of one seemingly invincible man: Bruce Campbell (“Army of Darkness,” 1992) reprises his role as Ashley “Ash” J. Williams, a character first introduced during the franchise’s first film (“The Evil Dead”) back in 1981. Fast forward 30 years, and Ash is skillfully avoiding everything – responsibilities, maturity, his terrifying past encounters with the undead. That is, until a Deadite plague threatens the future of mankind, he must confront his past demons (both literal and metaphorical) once and for all. From creators Sam Raimi (“Spider-Man,” 2002), Ivan Raimi (“Drag Me to Hell,” 2009) and Tom Spezialy (“The Leftovers”), this re-animated reboot also stars Ray Santiago (“Meet the Fockers,” 2004), Dana DeLorenzo (“Tacoma FD”), Lucy Lawless (“Xena:Warrior Princess”), Lee Majors (“The Fall Guy”),Ted Raimi (“Twin Peaks”) and many more.

“Appendage” (2023)

What began as a six-minute short has grown into something far more gruesome – filmmaker Anna Zlokovic’s (“Shorty,” 2016) debut feature, “Appendage” (2023), premieres Monday, Oct. 2, on Hulu. This horror stars Hadley Robinson (“Little Women,” 2019) as twenty-something-year-old Hannah, a driven and aspiring fashion designer who finds herself in an awful predicament when her boss’ biting critiques – often mirroring of her own dark thoughts – manifest into something much more sinister … something that comes from deep within.A Hulu Original film,“Appendage” also stars Emily Hampshire (“12 Monkeys”), Deborah Rennard (“Dallas”), Kausar Mohammed (“Monster High”),Annie Pisapia (“Fresh Kills,” 2023), Pat Dortch (“Sam & Kate,” 2022), Carrie Stauber (“Brave New World,” 1998),Adam Butterfield (“A Kid Like Jake,” 2018),Ashley Rose Rolino (“Living with Yourself”), Daniel Chioco (“Switched,” 2020) and Craig Kolkebeck (“Three Bad Men,” 2005).
