Peggy Joyce Plummer, 90, peacefully passed away to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 20, 2023 at her home. Born January 25, 1933 in Lonoke County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of H. L. and Lois Jackson Townsend. She resided in El Dorado for over 70 years with the love of her life, Jimmy D. Plummer, Sr. They were married for 60 years and had three children. Peggy enjoyed playing the piano at church, teaching Sunday School and serving as Church Secretary. She volunteere­d at the Medical Center of South Arkansas as a “Pink Lady”, serving as Director/ President of the Auxiliary for 30 plus years. Preceding her in death are her husband, Jimmy, and her parents. Survivors include her three children, Jimmy D. Plummer, Jr. (Pam) of El Dorado, Alison Cook (Steve) of Hot Springs, and Melanie Sadka of Bossier City, LA. Her surviving grandchild­ren are Jarrod Plummer (Ashley), of El Dorado, Cali Worthen of Malvern, Megan Willett (Cordell) of Malvern, Lauren Daily (Josh) of Little Rock and great-grandchild­ren, Maggie Plummer, Audrey Plummer, Jackson Plummer, Baylyn Worthen, Abby Daily, Ellie Daily and Autumn Willett. Visitation will be held at Arlington Memorial Park in the Mausoleum at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023 with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Odom officiatin­g. Interment will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. The family would like to express the deepest appreciati­on to Rev. Bill Odom, Maifred Donahue and the sweet ladies that made Peggy’s stay at Hudson Senior Center so enjoyable along with the care provided by the staff of Arkansas Hospice, especially Sharon, for their care of our Mother.
