JANICE SCOGGINS
Janice Scoggins, 85, of Norphlet, AR, passed away on December 10th, 2023, surrounded by her family. Janice was born on August 2nd, 1938 to Mark and Kay Oswalt in Starksville, MS. She immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. She had a contagious laugh and a wonderful smile. In the early 1950’s, she met her soon to be husband Ebby Scoggins and the two were inseparable from that point on. Janice and Ebby were married in 1955 and have been together for 68 years. They had 2 children, Randy and Debra. Janice was a fiercely dedicated mother to her children, raising both of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. Janice was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Mark and Kay Oswalt. Janice is survived by her loving husband, Ebby Scoggins, of Norphlet, her son, Randy Scoggins (Mary Ann), of Norphlet, her Daughter, Debra Williams (Randy), of Norphlet, her grandchildren, Amanda Arnold (Heath), Cody Scoggins (Sarah), Allen Williams (Alicia), Casey Williams (Cortney), and seven great grandchildren, Harley, Jewel, Hadlee, Ty, Cannon, Hank, and Connlee, two sisters, Sandra Martin of Longview, TX, and Deena Lewis of Prescott, AR, and several nieces and nephews. Janice loved her family strongly and she loved spending time with them whenever and wherever she could. She enjoyed being at the camp at the river. She also greatly enjoyed beating everyone in cards and playing any game you could think of. Janice loved a good trip, she was always up for a good time. She very much loved spending time with her husband, they went on a lot of backroad adventures. Many have asked our family how they best can honor Janice’s legacy. We ask that you spend as much time as possible with your loved ones and friends, and cherish each day God has given you. A visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Young’s Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Salem Cemetery with Brother Doug Wills officiating and under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
