Louisiana Tech to take on Northern Colorado
RUSTON, La. — Louisiana Tech will start their 2024 season with a four-game series against Northern Colorado beginning today with a 4 p.m. start.

Louisiana Tech is coming off a 28-31 season last year, which they did have a postseason run for the first time since 2019. Senior Logan McLeod is coming into leading the team with a .309 batting average from the 2023 season.
Utility player Ethan Bates was named Conference USA Preseason All-Conference. Bates, coming off an All-American season at the helm with 10 saves as a relief pitcher and 17 home runs as a DH, will look to continue his success.
Bates, who batted as the designated hitter in 2023, currently holds a 23-game on-base reach streak, which started a on April 18, 2023.
He stands with the longest current on-base streak on the roster.
Seniors Logan McLeod and Dalton Davis are both tied for 10th.
Senior Dalton Davis led the team last year in at-bats with a total of 245 and ranks third all-time.
Davis currently has a 10-game hitting streak, which dates back on May 9, 2023. The Frisco, Texas, product, led the team last year in multiple hit games with 19 games.

Northern Colorado is coming off an 11-34 finish to their 2023 season.
The Bears were just 8-16 in conference play last year. Northern Colorado was 4-6 at home and 5-27 on the road.
The Bears' largest victory came against Omaha (13-3) and St. Thomas (10-0), while their worst loss came against the Washington Huskies, who beat the Bears 32-7.
Northern Colorado's batting average as a team was .268, while the team ERA was 9.73.
