COURTHOUSE CLOSURE

The Union County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, February 19th in observance of President’s Day. There will be no county trash pick up on Monday. Trash pickup shall resume on Tuesday, February 20th and will be caught up to their regular schedule by the end of the week.

CITY HALL HOLIDAY CLOSURE

El Dorado City Hall will be closed Monday, February 19 for President’s Day and trash pickup will be one day behind.

RETIRED TEACHER’S MEETING

The Union County Retired Teachers will meet Monday, February 19, at 2 pm at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Parish Hall.

Our program, Gardening With Raised Beds, will be presented by Mr. Seagraves.

Members are reminded to bring peanut butter or cereal for Interfaith Help Services and to bring books for local third graders.

All retired teachers in Union County are welcome.

SMACKOVER SCHOOL BOARD MEETING LOCATION CHANGED

The Smackover Norphlet School District will hold its regular scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, February 20. The location has been changed from Norphlet Middle School to the Smackover Central Office at 112 East 8th Street, Smackover AR.

UCRW TO MEET

BRIDGE CLUB OPEN TO NEW MEMBERS

The Greater El Dorado Men’s Duplicate Bridge Club meets and plays once a month. The February game was held at Dr. Jim Seale’s home on Tuesday, February 13. The winner was Rodney Barnette. Patrick Harrell came in second. Al Dunham and Jeff Dwight tied for third place. Those interested in the club may call 870-310-9659 for more informatio­n.
