CARA JEANE LANGSTON (MRS.YOUNG)

Cara Jeane Langston (Mrs.Young) was born in Conroe, Texas September 15, 1936 to her beloved parents Mildred and Carl W Langston. Her early childhood was spent in Texas, Southern Arkansas, and Southern Illinois. Returning to Louann, Arkansas in 1944.

She attended Southern State College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree and later her Master’s Degree. Jeane taught in Albuquerqu­e, N.M. and South Arkansas as an elementary teacher and later as a school counselor K-12. During those thirty years she was married and divorced after which she retired to Smackover, AR and passed away February 25, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Scott Edward Young, brothers, Bobby Carlton Langston and Edward Lynn Langston.

Jeane is survived by her sister, Conni L. Parker (Tim), nephews Christophe­r D. Webb (Tela), Jason Langston (Cindy), and Josh Parker (Sarah), nieces Lori L. Owens (Wayne), and Brandi Parker (Megann). Great nieces Ashley Palmer-Lieto (Angie), Sophie Webb and Ellea Parker-McManus. Great nephews Landon Langston, Spencer Langston, Harrison Langston and Julian Parker. Great, great niece and nephew Olivia and Owen Palmer-Lieto.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Liberty Methodist Church, Louann, Arkansas. Cremation arrangemen­ts are entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
