Karen Sue McVay, 65, of El Dorado, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. today at Smyrna Cemetery with Bro. Glynn Funderburk officiatin­g, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

FULL OBITUARIES DONALD RAY BROCK

Donald Ray Brock was born to Joyce Marie and the late William Lee Brock on October 19, 1974, in New Orleans, LA, where he spent much of his childhood. On Thursday, March 14, 2024, he reunited with his loved ones who had transition­ed before him on the other side. Surely, he was welcomed by his father, maternal and paternal grandparen­ts, along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. No doubt, his Aunt Bert was waiting with open arms for him!

We mourn the loss of our family member and friend, but none as much as his mother, Joyce Brock; his devoted wife, Andreka Brock; his sons, Joshua Brock, Justin Brock, Jase Brock; his daughter, Jazlyn Simmons; his bonus sons, Brennan Caver, Brian Jones, Braylon Caple; his siblings, Adam Brock, Ryenn Brock, Terrance Dunn, La Chandra Thomas (Ricco) and Sasha Williams(Vernon) and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, especially his Aunt Bessie taking on the role of a second Mom, and friends, former customers, coworkers and associates.

JULIE ANN FIELDS

Julie Ann Fields, 87 years old, of El Dorado, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, the 20th of March in El Dorado.

Born Julie King in 1936 in Oxford, England, Julie grew up in the shadow of WWII and told stories of her personal memories of Churchill’s speeches to her nation and of going down into the “tube” (subway) during aerial bombing raids. This wartime spirit stayed with her for all of her life. She was made of “solid stuff” as they say. She was a devout Christian; a member of the Church of England and then more recently First Baptist Church of Norphlet and Immanuel Baptist Church of El Dorado.

Julie came to the US in the 1950’s and worked in the communicat­ion sector, mainly for GTE for many years. She retired in the Knoxville area into a second career in realty.

Julie loved her hot tea, sewing, creating handmade gifts for her loved ones, fairies, and unicorns. She loved reading her bible daily and cared deeply for the people that God placed in her life. Julie loved socializin­g with her Stitchers group of Norphlet, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Valerie Charles.

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Dennis Fields, sons Stephen (Terri) Gilland of Natchez MS, Andrew Gilland of Bogota Colombia, Dennis Fields Jr. of Dallas TX, Bruce (Vicki) Fields of Dallas TX, David (Marinajo) Fields of Kingwood TX, and one daughter, Kathy (Wayne) Love of Norphlet, 17 grandchild­ren, and 24 great grandchild­ren, and a loving sister, Patricia Parker of Oxford England along with a host of nieces and nephews in England.

The Young’s Funeral Service, El Dorado, has been entrusted with arrangemen­ts. Visitation will be Friday, March 22nd, from 5pm - 7pm. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

On November 11, 1957, Robert & Lula McCray Bell welcomed the sweetest vessel imaginable.

On September 9, 1976, she united in Holy Matrimony with the Rev. Daniel R. King. Two blessings were born to this union: Tomonco & Selena King-Hamilton.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Robert and Lula McCray Bell; brothers, Jerry, Robert Jr., Jimmy, Willie, Bobby, and Leroy Bell; sisters, Rosemary Bell and two twin girls; and a Special Son, Vinte Miles.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Tomonco King., Selena King-Hamilton Carlo Clary.; current foster children: Treydan Penigar and Zaire Clark-Hicks; several other foster children; 12 grandchild­ren: Tomario, Anthony, Te’a, Chani, Earnest(Bailey), Ashley, Devontre, Caia, Kianna, Rochelle, Carter and Carson; great-grandson, William; sisters: Brenda (David) Watson, Linda Singleton, and Cynthia (Larry) Gatson.; Special Aunt, Earlie B. Green; Her Best Friend, Shirley Franks.; Friend, Benny Williams Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and a village who called her MOM.

WILLIE LEVINGSTON

Willie Levingston, Born on December 21, 1960, in El Dorado, AR, Willie was the eldest child of Willie Levingston and Bertha DunnWiley. He peacefully departed from this world on March 13, 2024, in El Dorado, AR. In 1997, Willie entered into Holy Matrimony with his loving wife, Yolanda Smith. Willie was a proud father to Daniel Levingston, Brittney (Christophe­r) Martin, Shelsea Snowden, Ryan Snowden, and Johnathan Snowden. Eight Grandchild­ren are left to cherish his memories. Willie is preceded in death by his paternal grandparen­ts, H.L. and Mary Levingston, Jess and Callie Wiley, Maternal Grandparen­ts Rufus, and Nater Dunn, father-inlaw Johnny Q Smith., and brother Morrell George. Willie leaves behind his wife, Yolanda, children, grandchild­ren, parents Bertha (Dan) Wiley and Willie T (Adriene) Levingston, mother-in-law Addie Smith, Brothers Michael (Rachael) Levingston, William Barber, Dumon Bowie, Taveo Levingston, Sisters Makare Levingston and Adriene Levingston, as well as a large extended family and friends who will deeply miss him. Ray Charles Thompson was born July 29th, 1955, to Osie B. Furlough Williams and Ellis Thompson in Strong, Arkansas.

Ray united in holy matrimony to Linda Aaron Brown on August 3rd, 1981.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert Earl Williams and Keith Greer, sisters Angela Thompson, Earlene Robinson, and Cheri Newton, and his step-daughter, Dr. Andrea Rheanaye Brown.

Ray leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Linda Thompson; daughter, Sylvia Norman, and stepson, Zidon Brown II, stepdaught­ers, Linda Brown, and Deneshia Brown. Brothers: Terry Newton, Gerald Newton, Aluster Hamilton, Eddie Earl Thompson; Grady Roy Thompson, Donald Thompson, Kim Thompson, Dennis (Rosalind) Thompson, and Terry Thompson.
