Genoa Central sweeps Trojan Relays

PARKERS CHAPEL — Genoa Central walked away with both the boys’ and girls’ titles at the Parkers Chapel Sr. Trojan Relays on Thursday. The Dragons scored 197 points to down Strong (124.5), Harmony Grove (121.5), Rison (97), Smackover (38), Parkers Chapel (38), Emerson (23) and Nevada (4) in the boys’ division.

Strong’s Kaiden McHenry-Jones won the triple jump, 110 hurdles, 200, 100 and was third in the long jump.

The Bulldogs’ Emauri McHenry won the 400. Ashton Holley was second in the 300 hurdles. Kaydon Rogers was second in the 800. Jujuan Jordan was second in the 400. Jamarion Mitchell was fourth in the 200.

Smackover’s Evan Phillips won the 800 and was second in the 1600 and fifth in the 3200. Nic Saulsbury was second in the pole vault. Caden Boykin finished fourth in the 1600.

Parkers Chapel’s Jordis Battisto was third in the 3200. Donovan Levingston was third in the 300 hurdles and Christian Word placed third in the pole vault.

Genoa Central’s girls scored 240.5 to dominate the girls’ division. Emerson was a distant second with 92 followed by Strong (73), Parkers Chapel (53.5), Rison (52), Smackover (48), Nevada (30), Harmony Grove (13) and West Side Christian (6).

Strong’s Kennedi Dixon won the long jump and was second in the 100. Anaiya Ingram won the 100 hurdles and was third in the 300 hurdles. Kimora Grayson was third in the 400 and fourth in the shot. Ga’zorriah Heard was third in the 200 and fifth in the 100.

Parkers Chapel’s Reaux McAuliffe won the 200, was second in the pole vault and fourth in the 100. Zellie McNabb was third in the high jump. Malasia McDaniel was fourth in the 100 hurdles and fourth in the long jump.

Smackover’s Baniya Welch was second in the 200 and triple jump and third in both the 100 and long jump. Anna Spradley was fourth in the 300 hurdles. Oakley Hubbard was fifth in the 1600.

West Side’s Carley Bain was fourth in the 200.
