El Dorado outslugs Bulldogs 15-10

In their history of being conference rivals, El Dorado and White Hall have played plenty of thrillers with each of their last three games being decided by one run.

On Friday, the Wildcats and Bulldogs staged another classic, but this one had plenty of offense with each team trading haymakers.

Ultimately, it was El Dorado that delivered the knockout blow with a five-run sixth inning to break a 10-10 tie en route to a 15-10 win in a 5A South clash.

The win is a crucial one for the Wildcats (8-7, 6-3), who not only won their second straight, but swept the series with the Bulldogs (6-9, 4-5).

El Dorado is presently tied with Sheridan for third place with Hot Springs Lakeside (4-4) and Texarkana (4-5) giving chase along with White Hall.

Jake Webster-Moore delivered a two-run single to highlight the scoring in the sixth.

El Dorado led 6-1 only to see White Hall answer with five runs in the third inning to tie the game at 6-6.

The Bulldogs scored three runs in the fourth to take a 9-6 lead, but the Wildcats responded with four runs in the bottom of the fourth to grab a 10-9 lead.

White Hall tied the game with a run in the sixth before the Wildcats took the lead for good in the bottom half of the frame.

Jonah Davis went 3-for-3 with three RBIs for the Wildcats, who had 13 hits.

Webster-Moore was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Mitchell Polk went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI. Drew Owens finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Holden Lowry had a double and two RBIs, while Sam York added a triple with two RBIs for EHS.

Peyton Howard had a double, drew two walks, scored two runs and had an RBI in the win. Xorian Robinson had a single and a walk with Josiah Moore driving in a run while scoring two runs.

Lowry picked up the win in relief.

The senior worked 3 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and one unearned run. He walked two and struck out two.
