Modelairplane Makeover Magic

Electric Flight - - AIRMAIL -

With so many excellent ARF projects available today, it becomes more difficult to stand out from the rest when you bring your new airplane to the flying field. One way to really make your new RC flier your own is to give it a makeover. We recently posted Michael York’s article on how he made over his A-26 Invader from Phoenix Model. Here are just a few of your comments.

Gerry Nelson: That’s a great treatment. Such easy techniques really do make the Invader look like a different airplane.

Michael Mcgregor: I saw a full-size A-26 a few years back at the EAA Airventure. I think the scale propellers do a lot to make any scale model look more realistic.

Charlie Johnston: That A-26 looks great! Besides the new paint job, I am really impressed that electric power has become an excellent way to power multiengine warbirds.

John Thomas: I have one of those ARFS, and I am going to do a similar makeover so that I can have a model of the airplane my grandfather flew in the Korean War.
