Cece Marie Bunch passed away peacefully on May 5, 2021. Cece was born on October 20, 1949, in Richmond, Virginia. As a young child, her family moved to Corning, California and later to Oroville, California. Cece graduated from Las Plumas High School in 1967. She lived with her Mom and Dad, Dolly and Gene Peck, and her brothers.

She went to work at Bank of America right out of high school, became a widely respected loan officer in the community, and received the California State Loan Officer of the Year award. She was involved in the Pilot Club of Chico, Soroptimis­t Internatio­nal, Chico Chamber of Commerce, and Chico Associatio­n of Realtors. She continued to work for B of A for over 30 years.

She married Ron Bunch on May 16, 1976, in Chico, California, and instantly became a mother of three children. Cece’s hobbies included anything outdoors. She enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, 4wheeling, dune-buggy rides, motorcycle riding, water and cross-country skiing, Bunco, golfing, and quad-riding. She always looked forward to her lunch and movie dates, time with family, attending her grandkids’ sports events, and hosting wine time with friends on the deck at Butte Meadows. She was a member of Butte Meadows Hillslider­s Snowmobile Club, Chico 4-Wheel Drive Club, and Lead Reporter for the Butte Meadows Gazette. Cece is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ron, her three children, Rhonda Harvey (Robert), Steve Bunch (Michelle), and Dana Del Carlo (Dan); six grandchild­ren, Lindsey, Alex, Braden, Colby, Dillon, Ava, and great-grandson, Sutton; brother, Bogy Henderson. Cece was preceded in death by brothers Jimmy Henderson and Gary Peck, and her parents. Cece will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, her enthusiasm towards life, her ability to coordinate and organize, her inquisitiv­e nature that allowed her to personally connect with every person in the room. The family admired her selflessne­ss, valued her unending support, and loved her positive spirit. She will truly be missed more than words can express.

“Her Party” is Friday, May 14th at 3:00 at the Chico Elks Lodge in the outdoor picnic pavilion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Cece Bunch to the Chico Elks Lodge 423 Building Fund and the Durham Sports Boosters. Cece’s final resting place is Glen Oaks Memorial Park, Chico, CA.
