Buying into absurdities of Trump’s proclamations

-

A dictionary defines non-thinker as: “A person whose decision making shows a complete absence of common sense and or intelligence, but shows an abundance of ignorance and stupidity.”

The definition above reminds me of an ancient mythological proverb: ‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes. And see not; which have ears and hear not.’

Translation … “There are none so blind as those who will not see.”

Perfect example is in letter titled “Voltaire was right-” (Jan 22) Its author bought into the absurdity that Trump was keeping out drug cartels, human traffickers and rapists, but, same author failed to see the atrocity of children being kidnapped from their parents.

The writer expounds on how Donald facilitated the creation of the vaccine but can’t see the atrocity behind Trump’s absurd lies which kept half a blinded nation from wearing masks and getting vaccinated.

Why then is it suddenly Biden’s fault that the majority who died from COVID under his watch are conservative non-thinkers, who, suckered by Trump’s absurdities, refused vaccines and didn’t wear masks?

Lastly, the non-thinking wordsmith suggests the Jan 6 insurrection was a mere “… five hour protest … gone awry … and consisted mostly of selfie-takers …”

Unquestionably, conservatives are so steeped in absurdities they will have you believe average DC tourists and “selfie-takers” are scaling the walls of Congress, breaking windows and desecrating the American flag daily by using the flag poles to beat the police.
