She married Tony Farrara on November 21, 1948 and lived in Los Angeles until moving to Chico in 1952. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony, (age 98), of 73 years, on December 20, 2021. They are survived by Tove’s Sister, Ethel Hightower of Placerville and their 4 children Patricia Higginbotham (the late Harry Highinbotham), Becky Farrara, Roger Farrara (Debbie), & Ronnie Farrara (Diane), 6 grand children and 13 great grandchildren. Together Tony & Tove ran their own businesses. Tony with a welding & ornamental iron shop “The Wrought Iron Shoppe” and later Tove opened their own lingerie store called “Nyteez” on Nord Ave back in 1979, ’til the early 90’s. Tony & Tove loved spending their time with their families as they grew up whether it was on Lake Shasta or being involved in whatever their kids were interested in. Their love for their family was deep and it showed until the end when 4 generations of family came to visit in both their final days ranging from Tove’s Sister, to great grandchildren & grandchildren, and their 4 grown children. As per their request, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. They wanted everyone to be blessed that they were able to both live such long & loving lives and to remember all the special times that they shared with everyone.
