A natural alternative

Thank you so much for “The Healing Power of Honey” (EQUUS 440). As a horse owner and a beekeeper, I am so grateful to have this information made available to the general public.

I keep medicinal honey in the house for the humans and in the barn for the humans and animals. I use it for very minor scrapes on the horses and goats and would definitely consult my veterinarian before using it on a large wound.

I first apply the medicinal honey, then cover it with my hand and spray regular bug spray around the area to deter flying insects, including bees. I have had really great success with minor scrapes on the horses.

Thank you for putting this information out there at a time when bacteria are becoming resistant to antibiotics and people are becoming allergic to those same drugs.
