Kathleen Crandell, PhD, is an equine nutritionist with Kentucky Equine Research. Previously, she was superintendent of the Virginia Tech Middleburg Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Middleburg. She earned her master of science in equine nutrition and exercise physiology and her PhD in equine nutrition and reproduction, both from Virginia Tech.
