More clipping advice

EQUUS - - Eq Letters -

In addition to Susan Harris’s excellent advice on acclimating a horse to clippers (“Aversion to Clippers,” Consultants, EQUUS 446), I would suggest that when the owner does start to clip her mare, it will help if she starts by approaching the shoulder area and lower neck. This will be less threatening than reaching toward her head. Mimi Pantelides Nashville, Tennessee
