CHAMPIONS DESCENDED FROM BONNIE SCOTLAND THROUGH BEN BRUSH

EQUUS - - Conformation Insights -

Ben Brush was a horse of better than average substance. Possessed of much stayer blood, in 40 career starts he was the winner 25 times, primarily over classic distances. Though he had a couple of close wins in high-class company, on numerous occasions he won by many lengths while conceding as much as 19 pounds to opponents. Unfortunately, Ben Brush’s direct male line has been allowed to die out, although his name appears in the pedigree of 48 of the last 50 Kentucky Derby winners.
