Safety first

-

“A Warm Welcome,” the Special Advertising Section in EQUUS 448, offered good suggestions for helping make your veterinarian and farrier comfortable while working at your barn in winter. But I would like to point out that while those electric tea kettles are convenient and useful, they are also potential barn burners. Anyone who plugs in such a device must be very responsible and make sure it gets unplugged before the water is boiled away and the heater burns a hole in the cord.
