Safety first
“A Warm Welcome,” the Special Advertising Section in EQUUS 448, offered good suggestions for helping make your veterinarian and farrier comfortable while working at your barn in winter. But I would like to point out that while those electric tea kettles are convenient and useful, they are also potential barn burners. Anyone who plugs in such a device must be very responsible and make sure it gets unplugged before the water is boiled away and the heater burns a hole in the cord. Jim Gilday Medford Lakes, New Jersey
