WHEN TO CALL THE VETERINARIAN

Call your veterinarian right away if you notice any of these signs:

• could signal bruising, strain or other injury.

• at the nail holes or on the underside of the hoof

• wall. A section of missing hoof wall that exposes underlying soft tissues is an obvious emergency, but even a minorlooking crack may be serious, particularly if it “spreads” when the hoof bears weight.

• Any at the bottom of the foot.
