LOW MESS POULTICE

I use old socks to cover my horse’s foot when using a poultice to draw out a hoof abscess. I cut off the leg portion, then pull one or two socks up over the foot after I apply the poultice. I then wrap the hoof in veterinary wrap.— Theresa Carmichael, Guyton, Georgia
