Re­mem­ber­ing Fal­con Rowdy

Af­ter see­ing the write-up of Johnny Demetris and EZD Fal­con Rowdy (“Horses of the Amer­i­can Colonies,” Con­for­ma­tion In­sights, EQUUS 468), I just wanted to add a few things.

I be­came friends with Johnny in the late ’60s, right be­fore both of our colts were born on the same day. I lived on 12 acres in Ch­e­sa­peake, Vir­ginia, about five miles from a feed store, where I worked. Johnny lived about five miles away in a dif­fer­ent di­rec­tion. Johnny was al­ways very out­go­ing, and we be­came close while talk­ing about our com­ing ba­bies.
