HANG UPS
After years of replacing broken or rusted salt block holders, I devised a way to hang my horse’s block with rope. First I made a hole through the block—about three inches from one end—using a power drill. I then threaded a two-foot length of heavy clothesline through the hole and knotted it back on itself securely just above the block. Then I hung the block from the bars of my horse’s stall, well above hoof height.— Robert McCurdy, Crown Point, Indiana
