TROTTING IN A FIGURE EIGHT
Progression in a figure-eight pattern allows you to quickly compare the differences in the horse’s weight distribution and stride length from one direction to the other. Ideally, the diameter of the loops at each end should be eight to 10 meters (or 25 to 35 feet). This activity naturally requires the assistance of a rider.
