A shoulder to lean on

-

I agree that our horses react to our moods (“How Your Moods May Affect Your Horse,” Medical Front, EQUUS 491). Just this morning I was crying when I went out to my 2-year-old horse. Even though he had a manger full of food, he turned away from it and kept nuzzling my face as if to kiss away my tears. When I hugged him, he hugged me so tight I had to push back! While he loves kisses and hugs, this time he seemed to know I was the one who needed extra loving. Viola Moran McCleary, Washington
