at the Chicago World’s Fair was devoted to Agricultur­e. Here we see its north façade, facing the Grand Canal. The towers at left and right honored Viking exploratio­n and the Gokstad ship; Venetian gondolas carrying Fair visitors are visible as they ply the water. The bridge was adorned with numerous sculptures of American animals; visible are tapir, mountain lion and grizzly bear.
