These stallions were the most popular choices for breeding flat-track racers throughout the early half of the 20th century. Although they are Eclipsebreds, they differ in conformation from Phalaris-breds, being flatter-bodied and less heavily muscled. All, however, show the big, powerful hindquarter and relatively short back of Eclipse.
