Anthony Blikslager, DVM, PhD, DACVS, is a professor at North Carolina State University, where he received his doctorate in gastroenterology. He earned his veterinary degree at the Virginia– Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Blikslager is on the editorial review board of the Equine Veterinary Journal.

Laurent L. Couëtil, DVM, PhD, DACVIM, is professor of large animal internal medicine as well as director of equine research programs and director of the Equine Sports Medicine Center at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He received his doctorate from the University of Liège in Belgium and his veterinary degree from the National Veterinary School of Alfort in France.
