ABOUT THE AUTHORS
KATHRYN DUNCAN, DVM, PHD, is a lecturer at Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine who primarily teaches parasitology to veterinary students. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine and during her veterinary parasitology residency training at Oklahoma State University, through the National Center for Veterinary Parasitology, her dissertation research focused on ticks and tick-borne diseases of domestic animals.
KELLEE D. SUNDSTROM, MS, senior research specialist at Oklahoma State University, studied equine ticks in fulfillment of her Master of Science degree. She continues to study ticks and vector-borne diseases in the Krull-Ewing Laboratory and has over 13 years of experience in veterinary research and animal husbandry.
