The Only Composed Shot to Order at a Fancy Bar: The Snaquiri
We’ve been there: You want a celebratory shot, but you want something cold, refreshing, and easy to down. Is there anything besides those postcollegiate shots from the ’80s with silly names— like a B-52—that even the most shot averse of us can enjoy? Yes, and its name is the snaquiri. Splitting up a daiquiri into shots has been a kind of industry handshake over the past decade, the trend supposedly emanating from New York. You could, of course, ask to split up any proper cocktail into shots, such as a martini, a manhattan, or a negroni, but if you go the snaquiri route, you’ll be flexing some genuine bar cred. Be sure to offer one to your bartender, too.
