Amp up your mac and cheese with one of these awe­some fill­ings.

MEAT SAUCE Sauté 1 lb lean ground beef, break­ing apart, for 5 min. Drain off fat and stir in 1 cup jarred mari­nara plus a pinch of salt and pep­per.

MUSH­ROOM Melt 2 tbsp but­ter in a large skil­let over medium. Add two 8 oz pkg sliced mush­rooms and 1 tbsp minced dried onion; cook 4 min. Sea­son with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pep­per.

BROC­COLI Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large non­stick skil­let. Add one 12 oz bag frozen chopped broc­coli, thawed, and 2 cloves gar­lic, chopped. Cook 3 to 4 min. Sea­son with salt, pep­per and a pinch of red pep­per flakes. Fe­bru­ary 2019
