Amp up your mac and cheese with one of these awesome fillings.
MEAT SAUCE Sauté 1 lb lean ground beef, breaking apart, for 5 min. Drain off fat and stir in 1 cup jarred marinara plus a pinch of salt and pepper.
MUSHROOM Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium. Add two 8 oz pkg sliced mushrooms and 1 tbsp minced dried onion; cook 4 min. Season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.
BROCCOLI Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add one 12 oz bag frozen chopped broccoli, thawed, and 2 cloves garlic, chopped. Cook 3 to 4 min. Season with salt, pepper and a pinch of red pepper flakes. February 2019
