Try Some Recipes
Once the kiddos have their blender basics down, try one of these three fun ideas together. You’ll soon learn that this appliance is great for so much more than just smoothies!
Blend 1 egg, 1 egg white, 1½ cups plain yogurt, and 3 Tbs. oil until smooth. Add 1 cup flour, ¼ cup sugar, 1½ tsp. baking powder, and ¼ tsp. each baking soda and salt. Blend. Stir in 1 cup rolled oats. Cook in a skillet for about 2 minutes per side. Top with syrup!
Mix 3 cups cold water, 1 cup lemon juice, and ¾ cup sugar. Pour half a 16-oz. can of peaches into a blender and add half the lemonade mixture. Cover and blend until smooth. Pour into a pitcher; set aside. Repeat with remaining peaches and lemonade. Serve chilled.
BANANA DIP WITH FRUIT
Blend 1 peeled and sliced banana, ½ cup lemon yogurt, 1 Tbs. sugar, and 1 tsp. lemon juice until smooth. Transfer into a small bowl, then cover and chill for up to 2 hours. Serve with fresh fruit such as papaya, bananas, or strawberries. What a treat!
