Grazers such as sheep look mainly to grasses for food, but goats are browsers, aim­ing higher for leaves, shrubs and vines. This makes them well-suited to tak­ing down tough, overgrown veg­e­ta­tion. They are choosy eaters that like va­ri­ety in their di­ets; dan­de­lion greens, net­tles and other nui­sance plants are, to the goat, a nu­tri­tious treat.
