Monáe plays a friend to Steve Carell’s assault-survivor character in the Universal Pictures fantasy drama (3), directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Harriet 2019

Focus Features’ Harriet Tubman biopic, directed by Eve’s Bayou’s Kasi Lemmons, recently cast Monáe in an unspecified role.

Uglydolls 2019

Monáe will lend her voice to a character in the animated STX Entertainment family film.

Lady and the Tramp 2019

A live-action/cgi version of the classic— set for release on Disney’s new streaming service—will feature Monáe as the voice of a pound dog. She and Wondaland will also contribute songs to the soundtrack.

TV Electric Dreams January 2018

Monáe played a customer service android (4) for an oppressive corporation of the future in an episode of Amazon’s anthology series, based on

Philip K. Dick’s short stories.

BRAND COLLABORATION Belvedere Vodka

As part of her Fem the Future initiative, which supports women in the arts, Monáe partnered with Belvedere in March on a two-year project called Beautiful Future, which showcases short films made by female directors.
