Easy cure for flagging self-esteem
Next time social media makes you feel like you’re not measuring up, think about a goal you’re pursuing (like getting an advanced degree). Doing so could protect your self-confidence, say Cornell University scientists. They asked Facebook users to tally their “likes,” and found that those with strong ties to a meaningful goal were not affected by lower stats—their future goals kept everything in perspective.
