Natural way to fall asleep 52% faster
If you have trouble drifting off, aromatherapy can help, say scientists in the journal Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. In their animal study, mice that had a combination of lavender and lemon balm extracts added to their diet fell asleep 52 percent faster and got twice as much sleep as mice not given the extracts. The study authors say the plants contain painrelieving and sedative compounds proven effective in humans. To get the sleep-inducing perks, they suggest adding a few drops of lavender and lemon balm essential oils into a bath before going to bed.
