If I work hard enough, people will look past my size and think that I look beautiful,

thought Lynn Wright, after spending 4 hours getting ready for a wedding. But those high hopes came crashing down when she emerged from her room in her flowy purple gown only to hear her husband quip, “That dress makes you look really big.”

Lynn spent the night contemplat­ing her future, and the next morning she vowed, “I have to better my life. I’ve only got one.” So she started a brave

new adventure as a single mom, which included returning to her roots by eating locally grown fruit and vegetables. “I grew up with my grandparen­ts being farmers and eating those veggies,” says Lynn. “My grandfathe­r would tell me, ‘Local is the best way to eat.’”

Before long, Lynn’s efforts began to pay off: When she lost the first 4 pounds, she cried tears of joy. “I thought,

And at the 1-year mark, she stepped on the scale and learned she’d lost 100 pounds, thanks in part to eating farmfresh produce like celery, mushrooms and peppers. “I lost an entire person!”

reveals Lynn, who ultimately went from a pants size of 28 to 12.

It wasn’t just the scale that changed. Lynn also got off her sleep apnea machine, improved her asthma and erased her diabetes risk. She says, “I finally feel like I became the mum I need to be for my girls.”

To this day, Lynn (a ShapeFit.com member) keeps a photo of herself in the “big” purple dress next to her bed to remind her of how far she’s come. “I gave my body the best food to become healthy inside and out,” she says. “I’m convinced it’s just the beginning of my Cinderella ending!”
