“I feel better than I have in 20 years!”

“I’m having another bad day,” Terry Davis said when her husband picked up the phone. She was so run-down, she had no choice but to call and ask him to come home from work to help

her get into the shower. I can’t do anything myself anymore.

Terry had gained weight and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes after an emotional battle with colon cancer. She recalls, “Life kept getting in the way, and I turned to food.” Before she knew it, she could no longer bend down to tie her shoes. That’s when she vowed, If cancer didn’t kill me, I’m not

going to let this weight kill me. Terry shares, “I promised God that if I lost the weight, I would help others.”

At her doctor’s suggestion, Terry avoided starchy foods and also put fresh garlic in her meals. And soon her efforts paid off: After 30 days, she had dropped a size and her blood sugar improved so much that the doctor said she no longer needed medication. Plus, she had tons of energy. “I felt so good with the sugar out of my system!”

Today Terry is free of diabetes and has traded her size 24 jeans for a size 2. “I never dreamed this would happen,” she says. And she’s making good on her promise to God: She coaches others to get healthy through her Facebook group “New

Way.” “I’m helping people,” says Terry.

“It makes my heart happy.”
