Posting a picture of an adorable puppy on the fridge alongside a photo of your husband can boost your relationship satisfaction, suggests research in the journal Psychological Science. When investigators asked married couples to view images of their spouse’s face along with cute animal photos twice a week for six weeks, partners reported a spike in good vibes and positive emotions for each other. Why? The study authors say subjects started to associate their significant other with the warm, fuzzy feelings the animals inspired, rekindling love and deepening their bond.
