With so many to-do’s to attend to this season, we don’t always have time to prepare homemade hors d’oeuvres for family and friends who drop by. That’s why we keep our freezer stocked with heat-and-eat appetizers that are perfect for no-stress entertaini­ng. But when we saw that many of our go-to products are made with soybean oil, we had to think twice. The problem: Consuming high amounts of the oil has been linked to diabetes and a 25 percent increase in weight gain. We can’t have that, so we hit the freezer aisle to stock up on tasty options sans soybean oil. Here’s to healthier munching!
