Wintry pick-me-up

“On chilly gray days, I love brightening up my coffee table with seasonal blooms,” says Lauren Blum, FIRST editorial assistant. “My most recent display: a duo of Christmas roses. To do: I place a few pinecones in two small glasses filled with water. Then I snip bay laurel branches and three Christmas roses to 4 inches and pop them into the glasses—so cheery easy!”
