A rustic-chic bouquet to make their day

-

This season, florists are brightening up gray winter days by tucking cheery-hued blooms into rustic woodwrapped vases. “Here, fluffy cyclamen flowers and their heart-shaped leaves really pop against the warm wood, creating eye-catching texture,” says floral pro Gabriele DeFrances. “Plus, the bright-pink petals that flow from light to dark add richness to the display. It will light up any kitchen or entryway table on a frosty day!” Fill a 5"-tall square vase with water. Snip about 6 stems of cyclamen and 6 stems of miniature cyclamen in pink and fuchsia hues to 10 inches, leaving some of the leaves still attached. Add stems to vase, alternating colors and forming a tight bunch. Layer sheets of birch bark (available at craft stores) on the outside of the vase, then wrap lengths of pink yarn around the bark and tie to secure.
