Outsmart ice-burned paws with

-

Icy, salted sidewalks irritate the sensitive skin on your dog’s paws. Rinsing her feet as soon as you get home can prevent irritation, but it’s a hassle to take your pup to a sink or tub. Make it easier with a paw-wash kit. To do: Cut a sponge into 1-inch by 1-inch cubes and toss in a mason jar or other jar with an opening large enough to fit your pup’s paws. Before your walk, fill the jar halfway with water and add a few drops of baby or dog shampoo. Close the jar and leave it near the door along with a clean towel. As soon as you get inside from a walk, put your pal’s paws in the jar one at a time, swish the jar around each paw and dry them off with the towel.
