Ready for a big adventure

This clever young European pine marten was so curious about the heavy snow that blanketed the forest floor that he decided to venture from his underground burrow to check out the winter wonderland. After digging in the snow in search of a tasty snack and coming up empty-handed, the little guy allowed himself a taste of the white stuff before heading back underground to wait for nightfall— prime feeding time for this member of the weasel family.
