To fake a bob

Part hair on the side, then secure strands into a low, loose ponytail. Create a “roll” by tucking and rolling the tail under toward the pony’s base; pin. Then gently fan out the sides of the roll to create a bob-like shape. Next, pull out a few loose sections around the face and sides for a natural softness that conceals tucked strands.

To fake a pixie

Create a side part and separate hair into two horizontal sections (one on top, one on bottom). Next, clip the top part up and secure the bottom part into a low bun at the nape of the neck. Unclip the top and tease the entire length, then leaving bangs out in front, pull the rest of hair back over the bun; pin and set with hairspray.

To fake a side bang

Make a deep side part, then create loose waves by wrapping 1" sections of hair around a 2" curling iron. Next, create “bangs” by loosely pinning the heavier side of the part right above the ear. Gently tug on strands so they delicately skim over the brow bone to boost the “faux” factor.
