“I outsmarted type 2 diabetes!”

-

Driving home from her doctor’s office, Dot Thompson couldn’t stop thinking about the news she had just received: “In two to three years, you’ll be taking insulin.” Her mind turned to her father, who passed away due to complications from type 2 diabetes. If I don’t do something, I’ll be on track for congestive heart failure, just like him.

Overweight since she was 19, Dot had tried nearly every type of diet, but nothing worked. She was taking medication for high blood pressure and was plagued by insomnia, acid reflux and back pain. “I couldn’t even walk to my mailbox without pain,” she shares.

Everything changed when Dot read about the ketogenic diet and decided to give it a try. She cut out carbs and started filling up on fatty cuts of meat. She also added fat bombs to her diet. “After I eat a fat bomb, I have a burst of energy,” she cheers. “Enjoying them is a treat so I don’t feel deprived.”

It didn’t take long for Dot’s body to respond: She lost 5 pounds a week, plus her acid reflux disappeared after seven days. “My sleep improved too,” she says. “I used to get only four hours a night but now I get seven.”

Flash-forward 12 months: Dot had transformed her body and reversed her high blood sugar. “My doctor said he’d never seen someone make a turnaround that fast!”

Now that the excess weight isn’t holding her back, Dot couldn’t be happier. She’s discovered a new zest for life—including a love for shopping. “When

I put on a pair of jeans, I looked in the mirror and cried tears of joy. I feel like I could do anything!”
