Men­tor-based ther­apy pro­grams boost well­be­ing for women liv­ing with metastatic breast can­cer, ac­cord­ing to a re­port in the Bri­tish Jour­nal of Can­cer. In the study, spend­ing two hours per week in a pro­gram with other breast can­cer sur­vivors im­proved qual­ity of life by 45%. The au­thors ex­plain that sup­port re­duces feel­ings of iso­la­tion and pro­vides skills to help man­age phys­i­cal and emo­tional bur­dens.
