Cinnamon Apple-tini

With a nicely spiced sugar rim and a burst of bold autumn flavors, this sweet tipple is a great way to welcome guests in from the cold.

To make: Wet edge of

2 martini glasses with apple cider, then dip in cinnamon-sugar mixture. In cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 1⁄2 cup apple cider, 1⁄4 cup vodka, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 Tbs. caramel sauce.

Pour into glasses.

Cranberry Old-Fashioned

This pretty-in-pink cocktail swaps cranberrie­s and ginger for traditiona­l cherries. The result is a bright, zingy sip that provides an ideal contrast to heavy holiday foods. To make: In pitcher, muddle 1⁄4 cup cranberrie­s, 1⁄2 tsp. grated fresh ginger, 1 tsp. bitters, 1 Tbs. sugar, 1⁄2 cup cranberry juice and 2 strips orange peel. Add 1⁄4 cup bourbon. Pour into

2 glasses over ice.

Pumpkin Hot Toddy

Warm and soothing, this cozy fall drink is a sure way to end a night on a happy note. To make: In small pitcher, whisk 1⁄4 cup pumpkin butter, 1⁄4 cup whiskey or dark rum and 1⁄2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice. Add 2 cups hot water. Stir well; pour into 2 mugs. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired.
