Gilded bouquet

First For Women - - Feel- Good File -

“To foster cheer during the holidays and through the new year, I love adding festive floral bunches around the house,” says Lauren Blum,

FIRST editorial assistant. “To save money on pricey flowers, I create a gilded bunch of from-the-yard extras adorned with a single supermarket bloom! To make, I simply coat a 5" vase with gold spray paint from the crafts store, let it dry and fill it with water. Then I snip evergreens and berry branches from my yard and one rose to 8" and add them to the vase. Next, I hot-glue thistles, dried citrus slices and a bauble to skewers and tuck them in the vase. It’s a stunning seasonal pick-me-up!”
